What AiC is

AiC is a local-offers app operated by Infinite Ideas LLC, running a pilot in and around Pocatello, Idaho, in the United States. Local merchants post time-limited offers. You browse offers near you, claim one, and redeem it in person at the merchant.

By using AiC you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.

This is a pilot

AiC is early software under active development. Features change, break, and sometimes disappear. Offers may be wrong or out of date. The service may be unavailable without notice. We provide it as-is and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Please do not rely on it for anything important.

Your account

You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email address. There is no password. Keep access to your email secure — anyone who can read your inbox can sign in as you. You must be at least 13 years old to use AiC. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Claiming and redeeming an offer

Offers are limited in quantity and in time. Claiming one places a temporary hold and gives you a redemption code.
A hold expires. If you do not redeem before the expiry, the claim lapses and the offer may go to someone else. You can cancel a claim yourself before it expires.
You redeem in person, at the merchant, by presenting your code. Redeeming asks for your device location; you may decline, and the app falls back to your ZIP code or city centre point.
A redemption code is for you. Do not sell it, share it, or try to redeem the same claim twice.
The merchant, not AiC, provides the food, goods, or service. Whether an offer is honoured, and the quality of what you receive, is between you and the merchant. Any legal obligation the merchant owes you as a customer is theirs, not ours.

Money

AiC is free for consumers. We do not take payment from you, and the app has no consumer checkout. You pay the merchant directly, in whatever way the merchant normally takes payment.

Merchants pay AiC a fee for each redemption of their offers, invoiced periodically. If you are a merchant, the invoice terms shown to you in the app govern that relationship, and you are responsible for honouring the offers you publish and for the accuracy of what you publish.

Chat and AI

Much of AiC works through chat with an AI assistant, which can take actions on your behalf — finding offers, claiming one, answering questions about your account. AI assistants make mistakes and can state things confidently that are wrong. Check anything that matters, particularly offer terms, prices, and expiry times. Your chat messages are stored and are sent to an outside model provider to generate replies; see the Privacy Policy. Do not put sensitive personal information into chat.

Text messages

Adding a phone number for sign-in codes and account-security alerts is optional and requires your explicit consent at the point you add the number. Consent to texts is never a condition of using AiC or of claiming any offer. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to stop receiving texts — note that this also stops sign-in codes — or HELP for help. No text-messaging service is connected yet, so AiC cannot currently send texts at all.

Things you agree not to do

Use someone else's account, or claim offers on someone else's behalf without permission.
Automate claiming, scrape the service, or otherwise take offers in a way that is not a person using the app normally.
Falsify a redemption, reuse a spent code, or misrepresent where or when a redemption happened.
Try to break, overload, or get around the security, rate limits, or access controls of the service.
Try to make the AI assistant do something it is not meant to do, or use chat to attack the service or other users.
Use AiC for anything unlawful, or to harass anyone.

Content you send us

You keep ownership of what you write. You give us permission to store and process it so we can operate the service — which includes sending your chat messages to our model provider to generate replies. Merchants keep ownership of their offer content and are responsible for it.

Ending things

You can stop using AiC at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or where we are shutting down a pilot. Some records survive account closure — the Privacy Policy explains exactly which, and why.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, AiC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the service. We are not liable for a merchant’s acts or omissions, including a refusal to honour an offer. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Governing law and where disputes are heard

We have chosen the law of the State of Idaho, in the United States, to govern these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms or out of your use of AiC will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Idaho, and you and we each agree to the jurisdiction of those courts. If the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived by agreement, this section does not take those away.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. When we do, we will update this page and the “last updated” date at the top. Continuing to use AiC after a change means you accept the updated terms.
